The Barrett Residence: Skyland, Crested Butte, Colorado

The Barrett Home was HRC’s featured project in 2006-2007. The house is located on Grant Lake in the Skyland neighborhood in Crested Butte. At approximately 5,000 square feet, this is truly a spectacular home. The massive trusses and timber work of heart pine make it one-of-a-kind.

The exterior is made from Colorado greystone and reclaimed barnwood. The interior consists of reclaimed wood for cabinetry and flooring, along with barnwood and a massive fireplace; making it in all a great blend with the knotty alder doors, trim package and stone countertops. Together, this home is set apart from anything in the area. Gary Hartman from Sunlit Architect is the architect. This home was featured in the December, 2010 issue of Timber Home Living.
